Meet Our Teachers
Teacher Allison Greenhalgh is a native Arizonan with her great grandparents moving to Tempe back in the 1930s. With these long family ties to Tempe, Allison has spent the majority of her life living and working in the southeast valley. She grew up with a strong family commitment to service and community.
Ms. Greenhalgh’s experience has taken on many forms, supporting children of every age. From teaching preschool, to behavioral management for at-risk kids, elementary special education and high school performing arts programs, to summer camp director and a Girl Scout Leader. She loves being able to support, nurture, and encourage all children and has found pre-kindergarten to be her favorite age group.
Ms. Greenhalgh believes in a play-based learning environment, where pre-kinder students can be introduced to new ideas and exciting experiences.
Teacher Assistant Emily Hall is a Horizon Honors Alumni who just couldn’t stay away. After graduating, she moved out of the Valley & started a family, but wasn’t gone for long. When the opportunity arose, Emily was able to rejoin the Horizon Honors family. She has worked with the infants in our daycare program, she moved to a TA position in Grades 1-2 before settling into a Kindergarten TA position. Her outstanding reputation working with our kids made her the perfect choice for the position of PreK TA. Mrs. Hall came with a long list of accolades from parents & our PreK team has never been stronger!
